The witness was driving west at dusk with a companion when an animal crossed the road about 15 yards ahead. The witness described a very dark, long-haired animal moving on all fours with an awkward gait, higher rear end, flat face and round head. The companion did not see it, and the pair could not relocate it after turning around.

The creature crossed from a field into woods on the south side in two quick steps without looking at the vehicle. After the call he heard a noise and saw a large hairy human-shaped figure about 60 feet away walking up a slight incline. He watched for about five seconds, noted it lacked a bear-like snout, then ran back to the tent to tell his companions.

The witness and a relative were hunting geese from a concealed blind in a harvested field when they noticed movement to the east. They observed a tall black figure in side profile walking very fast while stooped over, heading north toward a gravel pit until it left their line of sight. They walked to the area afterward but found no tracks, noting the ground was frozen and the figure had been on a gravel road.
