Possible 1AM sighting by commuter on forest road 17 miles west of Daytona Beach
The witness was driving south on Highway 11 late at night with a bright light bar on when a tall hairy biped crossed the road ahead and stepped over a guardrail into the trees. The witness slowed, noted large wet footprints on the pavement where it crossed, then turned around and drove back but saw only a disturbed spot at the treeline. The witness estimated the creature was 7-8 feet tall with reddish-brown shaggy hair and a large chest, seen for only a couple seconds.

The witness claims that while hog hunting near a roadside ditch, he saw a large brown bipedal creature crouching by the road. The creature reportedly stood, walked back and forth across the road, then crouched again before walking away on two legs toward a swamp. The figure moved quickly in a few long strides and entered the woods before the companion could see it. The couple searched the treeline but found no trace, and a park employee later suggested a bear, which the witness rejected.
Women recall an afternoon road crossing near Bulow Park
The witness was riding with a companion in daylight when they noticed a small upright figure by the roadside holding a stick. The figure dropped to all fours, moved into the road, then stood bipedally and crossed slowly in front of the car, forcing a brake. After passing, it dropped to all fours again, glanced back, and left into the woods. Both occupants agreed it was not a bear or monkey and described it as about four and a half to five feet tall, dark brown and ape-like.
