Camper hears strange knocking and screams in Tillamook Forest
The witness was camping alone in a tent trailer at dusk. Loud prolonged yells were heard first from the south and minutes later much louder repeated yells from the north, then again from the south. Frightened by the loudness, the witness lay still in the dark trailer with a firearm until logging trucks passed at dawn.

They watched for at least 20 minutes as it sat upright on a log, stood, looked toward them, turned side to side, took steps, and held an object in one hand. Both describe themselves as experienced hunters and state it was not a bear.

After an evening hike and unsuccessful knocking attempt, they were stargazing around the campfire. They then heard two sets of rapid knocks from one direction followed within seconds by two howls from another direction, which they recorded. The camp was otherwise empty, with the nearest other campground miles away.

The witness and a companion were walking a logging road in the early morning while hunting. They heard an unfamiliar loud howl-like sound and found a five-toed footprint roughly the length of the witness's foot that looked deformed. The companion also saw the print and heard the sound. The area was described as unusually quiet, with two faint chirps and a brief feeling of being watched.

The witness and a companion were cooling off in the river after camping. They noticed a hair-covered figure wading in a calm downstream area, watching the water. After the figure noticed them, it froze, stared, then moved to hide in bushes while continuing to watch. The pair left the area, later concluding the figure was not human.

Three women at an elk-hunt camp watched the clearcut below their campsite in the late afternoon and saw a hairy biped run from the treeline into the opening. The creature retreated when two dirt-bike riders appeared on a trail, then ran out again with a slightly smaller second creature. Both crossed the obstructed clearcut upright on two legs at great speed and disappeared into the far treeline.
Two hikers have early morning sighting near Tillamook
The witness and a companion were on an early morning hike from a forest camp when they noticed a tall dark shape on a distant rock outcropping. After an accidental gunshot the shape was no longer on the rocks and was then seen walking away very fast with swinging arms. The two returned to camp and said little at the time.

A couple camping on a remote Oregon beach at dusk watched a very large, dark, hair-covered biped walk back and forth on the sand several times, at times passing close by. The witness later found very large, deep footprints where it had walked and, when it approached again at night, shouted and then fled to camp. Both stayed through the night without further sightings and photographed the tracks at daybreak.
Crashing and snapping sounds heard by campers
Just after sunrise while camping beside a river, the witness and a companion heard breaking and crashing sounds moving through dense forest toward their tent. Heavy, slow footsteps approached to within a few feet behind the tent, paused, then moved away. The witness briefly followed on foot but saw nothing in the dense woods, and later found several small trees snapped or pushed over beyond a tangle of large fallen logs.
