Daytime sighting by two men while driving near Narbona Pass
Two people driving over a mountain pass in daylight saw a large hairy biped running diagonally up a hillside toward forest cover. The figure was described as broad, at least seven feet tall, with dark brownish hair, moving fast on two legs with long strides and using an arm to pull on trees. After losing sight of it, they stopped at a creek crossing a mile or two away and felt watched for about an hour before leaving.
Early evening sighting in meadow near Narbona Pass in the Chuska Mountains
The witness was riding as a passenger in a truck in the evening when they noticed a large hair-covered biped about 60 yards from the highway. The animal walked on two legs with long strides and swinging arms while its face was turned toward the witness. The driver did not stop, and the group returned the next morning to videotape the area and cast a track.
Creature observed running on hind legs
The witness group had set up camp and walked up the mountain to scout for an upcoming elk hunt. From about 200 yards away in an open spot they watched a large black creature running away upright on two legs at high speed. The witness noted experience hunting black bears and stated the creature was not a bear or any known animal, estimating it at about 8 feet tall.
Miner reports pre-dawn road crossing near Silverton
The witness was driving alone to work before dawn when headlights illuminated a tall upright figure descending an embankment and crossing the highway. The figure paused briefly in front of a warning sign, looked toward the vehicle, then went over the opposite embankment out of view. The witness slowed briefly then left in fear and later returned in daylight to find large indentations descending the embankment.
