While Christmas shopping at a mall in east New Orleans in December 1974 or 1975, the witness paid to view a purported ape-like carcass frozen in ice inside a glass-topped freezer displayed as a casket. The witness spent 20-30 minutes examining visible skin, fur, and blood-tinged ice and became convinced it was a recently killed real animal, possibly a Bigfoot. The witness later urged a primate-center director to investigate but never learned of any follow-up.
