Husband and wife see animal near garbage dump
In late January 2003, the witness and his wife were driving through apple orchards at night spotlighting for deer and coyotes. They illuminated a hair-covered figure standing by an old refrigerator at a garbage dump about 75 to 100 yards away, noting reflected eyeshine and height estimated from the fridge. The figure turned and walked into the adjacent woods, and the couple left the area without investigating on foot.

The witness and a companion were in bed talking in the early morning when they heard a distant loud howl/moan that rose in pitch for several seconds. The sound repeated a second time slightly longer, with an echo afterward. The witness said it did not sound mechanical, like a siren, or like a known animal such as a wolf or coyote.

The witness was driving home from work in the early morning and stopped at a railroad crossing. While crossing she looked west and saw a tall, dark, hair-covered biped about 100 yards away crossing the tracks toward brush. She watched only a few seconds before driving home frightened.
Two young boys experience powerful, high-pitched vocalization
When the witness was about 10, he and a companion were shooting BB guns at fish in a pond on family land and then fired into a hedgerow. Immediately something unseen about 10 feet into the brush produced loud screaming and howling vocalizations and violently shook vegetation before moving rapidly toward the forest while continuing to vocalize. The boys fled to the house.

The witness and a hunting companion were about to start a nighttime hunt when they heard an unfamiliar loud scream. The sound appeared to move rapidly away, shifting from nearby to much farther within seconds while crashing through brush. Frightened despite being accustomed to the dark, the pair left without seeing the source and returned to their truck.
