Fisherman experiences possible daytime activity three consecutive trips near Conconully
The witness returned to a familiar lakeshore fishing spot with a relative after two prior visits with unexplained sounds. While packing gear to leave, both heard rocks rolling and something large moving across the steep brushy slope behind them, too far up to see. They did not see the source and could not identify it, noting it did not sound like deer and bear could not be ruled out.

In July 1977 the witness was helping a relative fix fence on a hill behind the ranch around noon. He and the relative saw two tall pine trees sway inside the fence line and then heard a loud yelling uhhing sound. A tall tree bent sharply and crashing movement through dense brush showed where a large animal was moving.
