Possible evening interaction by a river west of Mazama
The witness and a relative crossed the river at night to search for Bigfoot, using tree knocks and vocal calls. After initial knocks got no response, the witness made a call imitating a young Sasquatch and heard a loud impact about 7-10 seconds later described as a heavy rock hitting a tree. They tried additional calls with no further response and left around 10 p.m.
Campers hear possible night-time responses near Aeneas Valley Road
The witness was camping with a group on a friend's undeveloped property and spent two nights riding ATVs to a remote spot to try imitation yells and tree knocks for fun. The group reported hearing responding knocks, high-pitched vocalizations, loud grunt-like growls from in front and behind, and a very loud tree-breaking sound, all from about 75 to 300 yards away. Nothing was ever seen, and the group left the hillside quickly after the close growls, later listening from camp.

The witness hiked down a service road into a ravine and heard two loud wood-on-wood impacts from uphill. After returning to the vehicle for a camera battery, the witness found a line of large tracks crossing a dirt berm that had not been there earlier. The witness photographed the tracks and made a cast of the clearest impression, also noting an odd odor and a crashing sound in the area.

The witness returned to a familiar lakeshore fishing spot with a relative after two prior visits with unexplained sounds. While packing gear to leave, both heard rocks rolling and something large moving across the steep brushy slope behind them, too far up to see. They did not see the source and could not identify it, noting it did not sound like deer and bear could not be ruled out.

The witness was sitting alone by a campfire at night while three companions were upstream washing dishes. He saw a dark human-like outline walk quickly down the road past the camp and continue on. Less than a minute later his companions returned together from the same direction, indicating the figure was not one of them.
Campers record strange evening and morning vocalizations near Salmon Meadows
A family camped at Salmon Meadows near Conconully heard repeated strange howl-like yells from the creek bed below their site in the late afternoon. After going to investigate and finding a young cow near a cattle guard, they heard howls again overnight and in the early morning. They recorded five video clips as the sounds moved away but never saw the source.

The witness was driving on a mountain road toward a firewood cutting spot when the dog alerted to the left. The witness stopped and saw a tall dark figure look at him while walking behind a large slash pile about 75 yards away near the tree line. The figure did not reappear from the other side, and when the witness drove forward it was gone, apparently having gone into the woods. The witness did not get out to look for tracks.
Hunter hears guttural scream while on overnight hike outside of Oroville
The witness was hunting deer alone on a steep slope and camped overnight beneath a tree among boulder fields. About two hours after sunset he heard a single extremely loud guttural scream coming from the direction of the snow-covered peak. He said he had never heard a sound like it and remained awake with a firearm ready.
Possible vocalizations heard from campground outside Okanogan
Two people set up a tent and campfire at a remote evergreen forest campsite after arriving around sunset. While sitting at the fire they heard a loud low-toned scream lasting a few seconds that ended abruptly, estimated to come from a ridge about one-half to one mile away. They heard no other unusual sounds during the next three days.
Possible whistles and wood knocks heard between Tonasket and Republic
The witness was cutting firewood off a mountain road with a companion when she heard a brush snap, then about an hour later heard slow knocking, a soft whistle, and gibberish-like vocalizations from a heavily wooded canyon across the road. The sounds were unfamiliar to her despite being raised in the mountains. She looked into the trees but saw nothing, and a return the next day had no repeat.

Three people hunting near Falls Creek walked a game trail down to the creek to check the area where they had heard sounds the previous year. Along the trail they report many freshly snapped trees and two trees with twisted tops near a creek crossing. At the crossing they report four large, deep footprints with distinct wide toes coming up the bank from the water.
Possible vocalizations directed at camp of boy scouts near Omak
The witness was camping overnight with a scout troop at a small crescent-shaped lake. After the group settled around 10-11 p.m., a very loud two-part call was heard three or four times from brush in a draw at the north end of the lake, sounding more distant each time. Shortly before dark the witness had noticed a strong musty odor near camp, and the youths in camp reportedly also heard the calls.
Dusk sighting by a couple near a spring outside Omak
Two people driving while hunting at sunset saw a large hairy man-like figure running along the road about 30 to 40 yards away. The sighting lasted only a few seconds before the figure disappeared toward a ridge. The driver stopped, got out to search, heard no sound of flight and found no tracks on the hard sandy road.
Possible stalking of deer hunters near Falls Creek
While deer hunting with a companion, the witness walked toward a creek bottom and heard loud rocks being struck together repeatedly from about 50-75 yards away in thick timber. Unable to see the source and believing no other hunters were in the isolated, trail-less area, they moved closer, heard the rock sounds again, then left for camp as the sounds stopped.

While hunting deer, the witness and a companion found 4-5 large human-like tracks going downhill in very hard clay. They photographed the tracks and continued hunting, discussing them further back in camp. The tracks were described as about 17 inches long with about a 36-inch stride.

The witness and two companions were camped overnight as the only occupants of the campground. During the night while trying to sleep, the witness heard a loud yelling sound from the ridge to the north, then heard it again several minutes later. The next morning a companion who had slept in a pickup confirmed hearing the same sound and had been startled enough to ready a car-horn remote.

Two people talking loudly while hunting heard two or three loud, high-pitched screams described as like a sick cow. They took cover behind a log as loud branch-breaking and thumping sounds seemed to approach them, then the sounds stopped abruptly and they left the area quickly.

While camping and fishing at a remote lake, the witness was alerted by a companion to a possible animal on the hillside. The witness then saw a creature stand from behind a bush about 75 yards away, stare briefly, and dart into the woods. Minutes later it reappeared higher on the steep hillside, ran across openings, jumped a ravine, and walked behind a knoll, while the witness's wife videotaped about 22 seconds.
Daylight sighting by fisherman at Lake Chopaka
The witness was on a fishing trip and eating lunch at camp when he spotted a fur-covered biped on a hill across from the boat launch using binoculars. He watched it for several minutes until it stepped over a fallen tree and disappeared into the trees. About an hour later he saw what he believed was the same creature near a rockslide on a larger hill across the lake before it disappeared again. He told his father he had seen a Sasquatch.
Campers hear complex vocalization
The witness was sleeping on the west bank of Chopaka Lake in June 1994 when awakened around 2-3am by a very loud, long call echoing across the lake. The call was described as lasting about 10 seconds each time and shifting from a low bellow to a snarl to a high screech, coming from the northwest corner of the lake. The witness's companions slept through the sound that night.
