Dusk sighting by charter bus driver on Hwy 160 near Mancos
A professional driver was driving an empty bus eastbound on U.S. Highway 160 near Mancos, between Cortez and Durango, shortly after sunset. About 150 yards ahead, the witness saw a large, entirely dark, muscular figure on two legs dash rapidly across the road from south to north in two to three seconds. When the witness reached the crossing point, thick woods on both sides hid any further trace, and a second driver traveling behind did not see the crossing.
Large creature leaves 12"+ handprints on camper trailer during rainy night
The witness and three companions camped over multiple rainy nights. They heard persistent huffing and a growl, experienced silence and a sense of being watched, and reported a dark shape blocking a camper window. When leaving they later found muddy primate-like handprints high on the camper and a trailer lock twisted and broken.
Another large footprint in SW Colorado high country
The witness and a relative were hiking near Helmets Peak at mid-day. They reported finding a large human-like footprint in very rough, rocky ground with widely spaced trees. The print was described as about the size of the relative's foot or larger.
