They scanned the hillside but saw no animal and heard nothing further. They were then struck by a nauseating putrid odor and felt an ominous urge to leave, so they left the area.

Two people exploring logging roads by jeep stopped to scout a side road on foot. They heard knocking sounds like a stick hitting a tree, then a very loud prolonged cracking like a thick log breaking nearby. She saw a large fur-covered creature on its knees drinking, which then stood up very tall and stepped over a stump. She ran screaming toward the trailer while the creature also screamed, and her companion heard it screaming and breaking trees as it moved away.

They approached and watched a large pale bipedal animal leave the tree and cross the highway with a swishing foot sound before disappearing. They searched with family that night without result, but the next day found scuffed tracks, broken branches, and fallen apples.
