Hiker describes possible vocalizations and rocks thrown at a remote lake in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness
The witness camped overnight near a lake while on a solo backpacking trip with a dog. After dark the dog growled intermittently and the witness heard paired screams, rock sounds, and repeated hooting exchanges across the valley. Around 2 a.m. rocks landed in shallow water near the tent, followed by a voice-like sound, and at dawn the dog stared into the woods while the witness packed to leave. The witness reports never seeing any animal or person.
Screams wake campers on consecutive nights at Cle Elum Lake
The reporter and a relative were camping overnight in a tent. Around 4 a.m. they were awakened by extremely loud, unfamiliar screaming that the reporter recognized as matching a BFRO recording. Other campers in surrounding sites were also awake, and gunshots were heard along with the screams.

The witness was camping overnight with other adults and about ten youths near a reservoir when golf ball to baseball sized rocks were repeatedly thrown into camp from late afternoon until morning. About ten very loud screams were also heard overnight from further along the shore. The group kept watch until daybreak and then left early, and the witness only years later associated the screams with alleged sasquatch recordings.

A group was sleeping while camping at a lake when the witness awoke around 5 a.m. to silence. From behind a parked vehicle the witness heard two grunts, a loud low scream, and repeated chest-beating sounds, but did not see the source. The witness listened for departure but heard nothing leaving and found no tracks in the morning.
