They stopped about 30 feet away and watched a single large amber eye lean out, move and stare at them for a few minutes without a visible face. Frightened, they drove past without checking behind the tree and saw nothing on the return pass.

The figure was described as human-sized, covered in very dark shaggy hair, hunched with arms hanging low, standing on two feet. As they drove past it disappeared into the surrounding forest and could not be seen when the witness looked back.
