Four people driving logging roads found large footprints in about a foot of snow beside the road. After photographing an initial line of about six prints, they found a longer line of more than thirty prints on a landing. They concluded the prints were not human because of the large size, five toes, and long stride that the witness could not recreate.
Powerful knocking sounds unsettle hunter outside Montesano
While deer hunting with his girlfriend, the witness stopped at a landing and heard loud rhythmic knocking from a distant creek bottom. The knocks repeatedly stopped when he moved downhill toward the sound and resumed when he stopped. After feeling watched, chilled, and uneasy, he retreated uphill and left the area.

Two companions arrived early for deer hunting and sat waiting in a parked truck with the windows down before dawn. They heard repeated sets of seven very loud heavy knocks, with knocks near the truck answered from several hundred yards away after a few seconds, continuing for about eight minutes. A passing truck stopped, shone a spotlight toward the sound area, then left quickly, after which the knocking stopped.

The witness was tending a beach fire after midnight when he noticed a dark bipedal figure walking south along the waterline in full moonlight. He ran to intercept it but could not catch up as it moved very quickly toward the jetty, then turned to face the ocean, arched its back and appeared to look back at him before disappearing near the jetty shadows. No tracks were recoverable because high-tide waves covered the waterline.

Late at night the witness heard loud, complex bark- and growl-like vocalizations coming from a ravine near the house. The sounds were described as louder and more structured than dogs, coyotes, or other familiar animals, and local dogs began barking during the episode. An attempted audio recording failed, and the sounds eventually stopped. The next day the witness found trampled vegetation, a coyote carcass, tarp pieces, a dog dish, and scat near the estimated sound source.

A passenger in the back seat saw the figure only as it entered the brush. Two people stopped on a remote logging road at dusk to check their truck bed before meeting friends at a campsite. After getting back in with headlights on, they saw a large hair-covered figure standing in the road about 15-20 feet ahead. Before they could react, it jumped from a standstill up and over a roughly six-foot road bank and disappeared silently.

During a day of deer hunting, the witness saw a face-like form crouched under a fir tree about 100 yards away that she felt resembled drawn depictions of Sasquatch. Later that evening she and her husband heard prolonged loud howling and screaming from the timberline that stopped abruptly when her husband stood to leave. They left without seeing the source of the sound and later interpreted the face, odor mentioned earlier in the day, and vocalizations as related.

The witness was deer hunting from an old logging road overlooking a cleared area when a tall bipedal figure emerged from the treeline across a draw. At first mistaking it for a very large man on a road, he realized it was far taller than a human with long strides and brown coloration. The figure appeared to turn toward him, then returned into the treeline. He later crossed to the spot and found no road, only uneven ground and a steep draw beyond.

The figure walked upright with wide strides, moving from dense forest on one side to an overgrown old logging road on the other without looking toward the car. The witness and a companion were driving logging roads looking for footprints. About 20 feet off a secluded logging road they found multiple footprints about 14 inches long in firm ground. They were able to follow the prints for 15 feet before losing the trail.

The witness was driving home at night on Hwy 105 when a very large figure came from a roadside bank and crossed the road in a couple of huge strides toward the bay side. The figure was described as having a large rounded head and long arms swinging opposite its feet, but no other details were visible in the dark, foggy conditions. The witness reports an animal path remains visible at the crossing location.

The witness and three companions drove to the top of a ridge where fresh snow covered the road. A companion spotted large fresh tracks with toes crossing the road and going down a steep draw. The men examined the tracks and noted their large size and long stride before leaving because a companion became upset. Months later they heard about helicopter-based searches in the area, which strengthened their belief the tracks were made by a bigfoot.

After calling without effect, the witness heard a branch snap, turned with a flashlight, and saw a tall male sasquatch-like figure about 10 feet away holding brush aside. After a few seconds the witness switched off the light, heard a noise, and the figure was gone when the light returned.
