A cashier told the guest he and a friend saw a black figure about human size run across the road about 100 yards away and hop a fence without assistance, heading toward the guest's property. The friend suggested a person dressed in black, but the cashier described it as creepy.

The witness was driving home on Highway 12 in the afternoon when they noticed a dark figure standing by a tree on a hillside. The figure turned and walked back into dense pine forest after a few seconds. The witness continued driving and described the figure as human-like with dark fur, lighter skin on the face, and balding patches.

The witness was a passenger in a car traveling home from the Ocean City area on a clear morning. While looking into a clear-cut field off the highway, she saw a large grayish creature rise from a squatting position to stand erect. The companion who was driving did not see it, and they did not stop.

The witness was driving on Highway 109 in early afternoon when a deer ran across the road, prompting slowing for a possible follower. A large bipedal male creature then ran across the road in three strides and stopped on the embankment about 20 feet away, facing the witness. After staring, the creature made a bared-teeth threat display, vocalized loudly, gestured to go away, then turned and disappeared into brush.

The witness was driving a mail route in the morning when he saw an upright figure in the road ahead. As he drove closer the figure walked upright off the road into brush beside a stump, where he took a cell phone photo. He estimated the figure at about seven to eight feet tall, very dark with several-inch-long hair, and said it did not resemble local wildlife he knows well.

The witness was driving north with three companions when the two occupants in the front seat watched a large figure run across the road from right to left and disappear into dense woods and brush. A passenger in the back seat saw the figure only as it entered the brush. The front-seat witnesses described uniform coloration, very big running strides, and a forward-hunched posture, and said it never looked toward them.

Three women driving from Lake Quinault toward the coast in the afternoon saw a tall, dark-haired bipedal animal cross the highway in front of their pickup. The animal glanced toward them, continued across without hurrying, and disappeared into brush on the far side. The driver sped up to get a closer look but the animal had finished crossing by the time they passed.

A driver and a companion were driving north on Highway 109 near Moclips in evening light when a stocky, dark brownish animal crossed the road in front of the truck. The animal then ran on all fours in the roadside ditch, keeping pace with the truck at about 35 mph for about 10-15 seconds before disappearing. Both occupants watched it but could not identify it, noting longer front legs, uniform hair, and no snout or tail.

The witness was deer hunting from an old logging road overlooking a cleared area when a tall bipedal figure emerged from the treeline across a draw. At first mistaking it for a very large man on a road, he realized it was far taller than a human with long strides and brown coloration. The figure appeared to turn toward him, then returned into the treeline. He later crossed to the spot and found no road, only uneven ground and a steep draw beyond.

The figure walked upright with wide strides, moving from dense forest on one side to an overgrown old logging road on the other without looking toward the car. The witness slowed at a pullout, noted the location relative to a curve warning sign, and later measured the spot as one mile north of a highway turnoff.

The witness was driving home in the early morning hours when she came around a curve and saw a tall, dark-furred upright figure by the roadside that appeared to have just crossed from the river side. The figure watched her as she drove past, walking unhurriedly, and she continued without stopping while her companions slept. She described it as very tall with matted dark fur covering its body, mostly upright with a slight slouch.

As he approached, the figure turned away and disappeared into dense timber within a few steps, swinging its arms. The witness slowed but did not stop to search, and the sedan ahead did not appear to react.

They fled to a neighboring house, where the resident let them in and all three watched the figure stand in the front yard about 12 feet from the porch before it crossed the road and descended an embankment toward the river plain. At dawn a neighbor was called and later found large footprints that were traced downriver until they entered the water.
