Campers describe early AM approach near Coldwater Creek Campground outside Yacolt
A couple sleeping in their parked SUV at a logging-road campsite were awakened around 2:30 a.m. when the wife felt a firm touch on her leg through a partially open rear window and then heard light footfalls moving away. Neither witness saw anything when listening and peeking out. In the morning they found very large muddy fingerprints on the vehicle near the window.
Elk hunter has late afternoon sighting near Spencer
The witness was set up alone for an evening hunt at the head of a draw accessed by ATV. At about 200 yards he saw two tall dark figures walking side by side up the trail toward him. After about 20 seconds the figures turned off the trail into timber, showing very long arms, and disappeared. The witness waited then rode back toward camp.
Semi truck driver on I-70 observes a large ape-like creature in a field near Marshall
The witness was driving east on I-70 in Clark County, Illinois, in the morning when he saw a large black animal squatted in an agricultural field about 200-300 yards away with its back turned. The animal then moved toward the adjacent woods while stooped over on two feet with a crouched, squat-walking motion. The witness first thought of a bear but said the form looked ape-like and he had no other explanation.

In July 2007 the witness and a companion were riding ATVs back toward camp in the evening when the witness noticed a low shape beside the trail. As he passed, the shape stood to about eight feet, faced away then looked over its shoulder and extended an arm toward him, causing him to duck and accelerate away. He also reported a strong elk-like odor. The companion ahead did not see the figure but noticed the witness was shaken afterward.

A couple camping overnight in a camper with their children awoke around 2 a.m. to the sound of bipedal footsteps circling the camper. After turning on lights, shouting, and checking outside with a flashlight revealed nothing and the steps repeatedly resumed, the family left for a town parking lot. They returned in the morning but found no tracks in the leaf-covered ground.
Man approached by Sasquatch, south of Yacolt, WA
The witness, a newspaper carrier, was stopped by the road in the dark reviewing a route sheet. A figure approached the vehicle from the passenger side to within a few feet, appearing curious and focused on the inside of the vehicle, then crossed the road. The encounter lasted less than a minute, after which the witness drove away quickly and called emergency services.
Deer Hunter sees large, bipedal, fur covered man-like critter run by in early morning encounter
Before dawn during deer gun season, three hunters were spread along a wooded creek bottom. The youngest hunter, waiting alone in the dark, reported a very large dark fur-covered biped running past and then walking away to the northwest. The two adults farther east did not see it but heard movement and a loud cracking sound in the trees.

Late at night in October 2000, the witness was driving south with a relative on Snider Rd near a bridge and railroad tracks. The witness reported seeing a large dark fur-covered biped standing near the tree line east of the road as the vehicle passed. The figure was described as very still, and the witness could not make it out when looking back in the mirrors.

The witness was driving on a rural highway before dawn when a large dark figure was seen in the road ahead. The figure stepped into a roadside ditch while apparently carrying an animal resembling a goat or sheep. When the witness slowed for a better look, the figure turned and looked toward the vehicle before the witness left quickly.
Latenight encounter while camping, then morning vocalizations heard
Two boys camping on a wooded ridge left their tent in the early morning and noticed a large bipedal shape moving in nearby trees. They watched it stand and observe them from about 30 feet away but could only discern a dark, fur-covered outline in low light. Frightened, they returned to the tent. Around dawn they heard a strange howling from down the ridge that did not sound like a dog or coyote.

The witness was awakened at home by a loud screaming sound and went to the back door to look outside but saw nothing. The screaming continued until the witness turned on a light, then it stopped, and the witness went back to bed. Months later the witness heard a televised Bigfoot recording that sounded the same as the scream.

The witness and a hunting companion were talking in the bed of a pickup while camped after bow hunting near Crooked Creek on a bright moonlit night. About 20 yards away they watched a two-legged figure peek from behind a cottonwood tree, then run to hide behind another cottonwood. Feeling unsafe with only a bow, they shouted about having guns and then left, driving 25 miles to sleep elsewhere.

The witness was fly-fishing in the evening and wading across a creek to return to a ranch during rain. About 200 feet away in the river, a creature that had been hunched over stood on two legs and looked at the witness. The witness noted a human-like face and broad shoulders, then watched it walk into willows before running back to the ranch.

The witness reported seeing a tall, stout, brown-furred creature with a non-furry face standing in a pasture surrounded by woods. The creature made a very loud noise that neighbors heard and called about, though they did not see it. Dogs barked beforehand from about a mile away and nearby cows were badly spooked.
Teenager recounts his sighting as a very young boy on his property near Yacolt
A young child who had gone about fifty yards from the house to pick thimbleberries claimed a large white-furred creature rose up from behind the bushes within a few feet. The child observed broad shoulders, long arms at its sides, and a human-like head shape for a few seconds before running back to the house in terror. No one else saw the creature, and later searches found no tracks or hair.

On a warm dark night in late summer 1993, five people inside a relative's house saw a large furry head peer through the back-door window for a few seconds before disappearing. When about 13, the witness was building a fort in the woods with a sibling when loud noise with breaking branches and barking dogs drew attention. About 250-300 yards away on a hillside, the witness saw three dogs chasing a gorilla-like figure moving on two legs with large striding steps. The sibling heard the commotion but did not see the figure. The witness later told relatives but says few believed the account.

They observed it at close range across a creek for several minutes in bright sunlight, noting its height, hair, facial features and build. The sighting occurred less than a mile from a lake bank where the witness and three companions had heard an unidentified scream and crashing sounds the previous year, which the witness now links to the same kind of animal.

Three young people were walking along a logging road after being dropped off from a truck. From about 10 yards downhill they heard vegetation rustling followed by an extremely loud, guttural, high-pitched yell that did not match any known local animal to them. Frightened, they ran about a mile back to the truck without looking back.
