Hikers find large barefoot prints on the Elwha River Trail
The witness and a companion were hiking out after a multi-day camping trip when they found a large barefoot-like print in mud, with additional fainter tracks continuing along the trail, and took a single cellphone photo. That night while sheltering in a trail cabin with a poncho rigged over an open window, the covering was pulled open and a securing board was knocked onto a camper despite no observed wind. The witness noted the nighttime disturbance could have been a bear, but also noted a food-strewn garbage bag was left untouched.
Hikers have strange encounters and find human-like footprints in Buckhorn Wilderness
The witness was backpacking and camping with friends at a small alpine lake. Late at night two campers heard something moving on rocks by the lake and then something hit their tent. The next morning they found 6-7 human-like footprints where the movement had been heard, sunk much deeper than the witness's own print, and photographed them.

On the afternoon of October 15 the author entered dense brush at the survey work site to examine a fir tree said to have shaken during a reported fight. The lower moss and twigs on the fir were undisturbed except for one broken twig higher up, while the ground was torn up. About 12 feet away the author found large human-like pad prints with a distinctive big toe, one about 15 inches long and another about 14.5 inches long heading toward the tree.
