The witness noticed movement across the channel and watched a large hairy upright figure step from dense woods, observe for about 30 seconds, then leave once the crying stopped. The witness heard leaf crunching and twig breaks as it departed and noticed a skunk-like odor afterward, telling family only after reaching the vehicle.

The witness was searching for his missing dog in a wooded area and found it on a beaver dam in a pond. He then noticed a tall, muscular, dark figure standing nearby that quickly turned and disappeared into dense brush. The witness returned at dusk to check catfish lines on a river on a relative's land after hunting. After hearing loud breathing and smelling a strong odor, the witness saw a roughly six-foot wet fur-covered figure about ten feet away with river scum on its side, which stood still. The witness fled immediately, returned with a relative the next morning to find no tracks but estimate height from a nearby branch, and has since avoided the area.
