The witness reported finding a large footprint on a trail behind a campground that was not there the previous evening. The dog drew attention to the spot by sniffing the ground. The witness compared the print to a size 10.5 shoe, noted it was larger and pressed about half to three-quarters inch deep without being duplicated by full body weight, and photographed it with a cell phone. No creature was seen.

He then noticed a tall, muscular, dark figure standing nearby that quickly turned and disappeared into dense brush. The witness returned at dusk to check catfish lines on a river on a relative's land after hunting. After hearing loud breathing and smelling a strong odor, the witness saw a roughly six-foot wet fur-covered figure about ten feet away with river scum on its side, which stood still. The witness fled immediately, returned with a relative the next morning to find no tracks but estimate height from a nearby branch, and has since avoided the area.
