A large rock was thrown from shore toward them and landed near the boat. When they shone a flashlight toward shore they saw a large dark human-shaped figure with red glowing eyes partly obscured by vegetation, then yelled and banged oars before retreating to a safer distance and hearing a loud scream or roar as they loaded the boat and left.

While camping in a tent with six others, the witness heard something large moving near camp followed by distinctive hoot-whoop vocalizations attributed to two or possibly three animals. The sounds moved away from the camp and then returned about two hours later. All seven tent occupants heard the sounds.

The witness drove late to a job site to retrieve a bobcat loader with a dump truck and trailer. While loading, he noticed a skunk-like smell and then saw red eyes watching from down the road, appearing taller than six feet. After moving the truck he saw the same eyes again about 30 feet into the woods at roughly his eye level from the cab. He maneuvered to turn the truck around and drove away quickly without looking back for several miles.
