About two years before reporting, the witness was riding a bicycle with a companion on a rural county road near Calhoun, just over the line into Walker County. From woods bordering fields the witness heard several loud sounds like heavy wood knocks echoing. The witness first assumed construction in the woods but later thought the sounds could have been a Sasquatch because the area was only woods and fields. The companion did not notice the sounds and the witness has not returned to the area.

Six soldiers on a night recon patrol through swamp heard an unseen presence following and circling them closely for 10-15 minutes, weaving between them even after they split into two groups. The sounds then stopped and the presence was heard leaving.
