He interpreted the sequence as involving two animals, with one acting as lookout. No tracks were found during a search the next day.

After each of their three knocks they heard distinct return knocks from across the lake, first from the west and then from the east. At dawn the camper heard loud bird-like calls from multiple directions, and found large grass impressions the next morning.

The witness and a companion were fishing at night when they heard knocking or banging sounds from trees. Shortly afterward rocks landed and bounced on the ground and road behind them, apparently thrown from a wooded area leading up a hill. They did not see the source, packed their gear, and left as the rock throwing stopped.

They heard knocking sounds followed by loud screaming from two unseen sources in dense brush that seemed to move toward them. After a long silent interval, something on two feet circled the tent, cast a tall shadow and scratched the fabric, then crossed a gravel road into the woods followed by repeated stick-struck sounds. The relative woke briefly and also heard part of the screaming. No tracks were found the next morning.

Early on Jan. 5, 2010 the witness was dropped off to hunt when an extremely low growl was heard and horses in a nearby field ran in apparent fear.
