Four people were train-spotting and camping by railroad tracks at night when they heard noise in brush across the tracks and saw eyeshine and a large silhouette swaying. They reported a foul odor, cats fleeing, and rocks thrown toward them from the brush direction, with impacts sparking on the tracks. One teen went inside while the remaining witnesses heard chatter and a branch snap south of the first figure, leading the witness to think two creatures were present. The witness then lit the brush and saw a tall bipedal silhouette stand before it disappeared, with no further activity over the next two nights.

A relative living in the house came outside and heard the final vocalization and a distant gunshot, and another relative later arrived to find the area empty.

The figure stood, jumped a great distance, then strode over the far side of the ridge without audible sound, frightening the group. The witness later estimated from memory that the animal was at least eight feet tall.
