The witness and a companion parked to take a daytime walk near a river bridge. After the witness struck a tree with a stick, they twice heard very loud vocalizations estimated to be about fifty yards away. After returning to the car they then heard very loud knocking sounds before driving off. The report states this was not a visual incident.
Possible howl heard on the Duck River while camping
The witness and a companion were camping overnight along a river at around 2 a.m. under a full moon. They heard dogs barking across the river, then a loud deep howl lasting nearly ten seconds. Afterwards all animal sounds stopped and remained silent for hours, and the howl was not heard again.
Hunter hears loud uknown vocalizations near Greenvale
The witness was deer hunting alone on a ridge in dense woods on a cold overcast mid-morning when the woods became silent. He heard three loud bellowing screams from one end of the valley that vibrated through the trees. After they faded, three nearly identical loud screams answered from the opposite end of the valley, which he interpreted as two creatures communicating.
Possible vocalizations heard near Pigeon Forge
The witness and her husband were relaxing on the back porch of a mountain cabin in the evening when they heard prolonged loud howling from across the mountain to the southeast. The vocalizations lasted several minutes and did not match any wildlife known to them. About 15-30 minutes later they heard large rocks crashing downhill from a closer position on their side of the mountain.
