On the second night the witness left the tent with a rifle and light and heard something large and heavy crashing through timber with loud footsteps, then stood guard until morning and left early without telling the children.

The witness was sleeping in a tent at a lake campground with family when she awoke to repeated patterned clacking sounds from the south. Later she felt contact through the tent fabric, felt the foot of the tent lift and settle, heard movement and more clacking from two directions, and felt unable to move or speak. She awoke again later to distant clacking, and in the morning found no sign except deer tracks with the tent still staked.

The witness went outside in the afternoon to retrieve plant pots from the side of the house while a neighboring dog barked. Something unseen in dense brush thrashed vegetation, produced a loud growl, and moved away with heavy pounding steps that shook the ground and broke branches. The witness retreated to a shed and then to the house for a shotgun, and later noted a strong musky odor at the residence.

The witness was deer hunting from a tree stand on a hill at the edge of a field in the early evening. He saw a dark figure moving along the field edge and into a ravine about 60 yards away, walking upright on two legs, and heard something walking in the ravine. They claim loud tree knocks, howls, grunts, heavy bipedal movement and red glowing eyes, plus a shadowy figure that rose from about five feet to about eight feet tall. They also claim a glow stick left on a gravel road was later found moved to the base of a hollow tree.

The witness and two companions camped in the Mt Hood National Forest with a barrel of animal entrails intended as bait. Over three days they reported loud screams from a nearby ridge, nighttime wood knocks, heavy steps and snapping twigs, and found their camp table apparently bitten through. They moved the bait pile away from camp, later found most of it missing with a wet sweet dog-like odor at the site.

The witness and his father exited their tent within seconds and saw nothing. Around 4 a.m. the camp again heard rocks clicking and chattering from dense woods about 50 yards away.

The witness later heard loud chewing and lip-smacking behind the tent and noticed an unfamiliar animal smell. The sounds lasted about 20 minutes and stopped without footsteps after a distant camper door was heard.

He returned to find his companions asleep and did not report the incident until later.

Two men were hog hunting at night in woods near a lake when they heard a loud deep chuffing sound given four times from several hundred yards away, followed by complete silence of other animals. About an hour later they heard the same sound much louder from about 50 yards away and heard something moving slowly westward along the treeline. They remained frightened and sat back-to-back for the rest of the night and later could not identify the sound.

After putting a rifle in the vehicle, the witness heard footsteps and then an extremely loud, deep guttural roar close enough to feel in the chest and fled by vehicle to meet the companions at a local establishment. The companions said they had heard strange noises and felt uneasy all day, and the group left the area that night.

Two people tending a brush fire at night heard repeated grunt-like vocals and heavy breathing from the woods behind them for about an hour. The sounds stopped whenever they turned to look and included occasional footsteps and snapping limbs. After they went inside, they thought they heard something come out of the woods toward the remaining fire.
