Late at night the witness was gaming at home when she heard a deep growl that grew louder and shifted into a loud distressed bellowing outside her office window. She looked toward the window and saw a pair of yellow-green luminous eyes watching her for a few seconds before they turned and moved away. She initially thought the eyes might be human but concluded they were not, and the next day found no tracks beneath the window.

The witness was walking through a field with family members near the base of Black Mountain. He reported seeing a large black creature move into the treeline at the end of the field. He described it as walking on two legs with a human- or ape-like backside and bipedal movement.

Around 5:30 a.m. on Nov. 25, 2017, the witness and a companion were driving in a loud diesel truck toward a deer blind. They heard several very loud wooo sounds from woods estimated at 200 to 250 yards away, audible over the engine. They stopped briefly to listen, then drove on and shined lights into the woods without seeing or hearing anything further.

A couple hiking with their dogs in a state park heard a single knock-like sound and later a distant tree-fall sound. Off a creek-side trail they found a single large bare footprint that was larger than the reporter's shoe and did not replicate under his weight. The dogs acted fearful and the couple ended the hike early.

The witness and a companion parked to take a daytime walk near a river bridge. After the witness struck a tree with a stick, they twice heard very loud vocalizations estimated to be about fifty yards away. After returning to the car they then heard very loud knocking sounds before driving off. The report states this was not a visual incident.

The witness reports hearing repeated knocking sounds at night over multiple seasons from spring 2013 through spring 2014. The knocks reportedly occurred in the evening, about a minute apart, lasting 30 minutes to a couple hours, with nothing seen. The witness was solo canoe-camping on a river and went to the water's edge after dinner. He heard splashes, saw a large rock fly through the air and land near him, then shined a light and saw eyes for about two seconds before they vanished. He fired a pistol with no response and left camp for home.

The witness and a companion were camping overnight along a river at around 2 a.m. under a full moon. They heard dogs barking across the river, then a loud deep howl lasting nearly ten seconds. Afterwards all animal sounds stopped and remained silent for hours, and the howl was not heard again.

While walking below a brushy shelf, he heard grunting and growling from the tree line and observed trees being shaken. The witness was camping alone in a hammock in the Citico Creek area late at night when he heard heavy movement coming down a steep overgrown hillside across the trail. The source moved parallel to the trail, crossed to his side, and circled his camp intermittently for several hours despite a fire being built to scare it off. He never saw the source because vegetation made a flashlight useless, but judged from the heaviness of the sounds that it was not a known animal. He left at sunrise.

Three companions were gathered at a pond bonfire late at night when one walked back toward the house alone with a shotgun. He reportedly saw eyes staring down at him off the trail, shouted, then fired all six rounds at close range before fleeing in fear. Later the reporter heard a single very loud prolonged scream from that area followed by total forest silence, and a brief morning search found almost no blood and no clear prints.

The witness and her husband were relaxing on the back porch of a mountain cabin in the evening when they heard prolonged loud howling from across the mountain to the southeast. The vocalizations lasted several minutes and did not match any wildlife known to them. About 15-30 minutes later they heard large rocks crashing downhill from a closer position on their side of the mountain.

The witness was driving home with a companion at night when headlights revealed eye-shine ahead. As the car got closer he saw a dark, furry biped with human-like limbs standing by the road. The creature used a hand on a barbed-wire fence to jump it from a standing start and disappeared into a field. The driver stopped and looked but saw nothing further, and found only a loose fence post the next day.

The husband noticed large barefoot-like impressions in mud and shallow water while working near the pond and called his wife to see them. They described three size groupings with five toes and arches, all larger than his shod foot. No photographs were taken and the print area was later underwater.
