The witness stepped onto a porch in a remote Appalachian area to listen to coyotes. About a minute after the coyotes stopped, a high-pitched wail or moan in three rising intervals was heard from the next ridge to the east. The witness claims familiarity with regional animal sounds, could not identify the sound, and described it as strange and out of place.
Possible vocalizations after midnight from cornfield near Wonder Lake
Late at night the witness was walking in a rural neighborhood when a deep grunting yell was heard coming from a nearby cornfield. The witness also recalls hearing heavy walking or footfalls just before the yell. The sound was described as echoing and startling, and no visual of the source was reported.
Possible sasquatch tree knocks TWO NIGHTS AGO along river outside Clintwood
The witness and a companion were night fishing from a boat on a river backwater late at night. Over about an hour they heard several loud knock-like sounds from the treeline and ridge, sometimes answering each other from different distances, plus a close splash and the sound of something large moving along the bank. As they left, the movement sound seemed to follow them upstream until a shallow cove, while the companion reported additional knocks the witness did not hear.

In the early afternoon the witness parked at a powerline clearcut to watch for deer. After about ten minutes a large dark bipedal figure crossed the open area toward the treeline and stepped into the woods when the witness got out for a closer look. The witness watched from the vehicle, called someone, and recorded video on a phone. A dismantled deer carcass was found very close by.

The witness was hiking alone and stopped for water when loud wood knocking lasting 10-15 seconds was heard. The witness made phone recordings that captured one loud knock plus fainter knocks believed to come from three locations. The witness continued hiking and returned later without further sightings or sounds, noting no other people were nearby due to winter closures.

The witness was driving a relative to work in the dark when headlights lit an upright gray figure standing off the road near the tree line. The figure was seen from behind for a couple seconds with a broad back, dome-shaped head and long arms, then was gone when the witness looked back. No movement was seen and no trackway was left because there was no snow on the ground.
Knocks heard near Spectacle Pond, 27 miles east of Bangor
The witness had been staying at his camp for over a week and stepped outside late at night before bed. From just inside the woodline a short distance away he heard repeated loud thwacks like wood striking a tree, about ten times over a few minutes and sounding progressively more distant. It was pitch dark so he saw nothing, and he heard no footsteps or brush noise despite dense woods. The next morning he searched the area in daylight and found no sign.

The witness and two companions were stopped on a highway in an isolated forested area after their car broke down. They heard three long howl-like vocalizations that they said did not sound like coyotes or cows. The area was unusually quiet with no insect sounds.

The witness was deer hunting in open country bordering woods when they noticed an upright figure at the tree line about 300 yards away. When they raised binoculars the figure was gone and could not be relocated. After walking to a new area they found a single barefoot-like print in dirt, photographed it, and found no additional tracks.

The witness went archery hunting on personal property before daylight and found a small tree near the shooting lane pushed over. After climbing into the tree stand and turning off a headlamp, the witness heard loud knocks like a stick hitting a tree from about 100 yards away in the woods, first four knocks then later two knocks. No figure was seen.

Loud wood-on-wood knocks were heard from the treeline about 50 yards away, and the witness exchanged knocks with the unseen source multiple times. After leaving briefly and returning, the exchange resumed until the witness started a phone video recording, after which the sounds stopped.

Two brothers were bow-hunting from separate positions before daylight when the woods stayed unusually silent. One morning about 9 a.m. they heard a very loud wood-on-wood knock from a swampy thicket to the northeast about 50 yards away. They reunited at their vehicle and confirmed both had heard the same forceful knock and ruled out a gunshot or falling object.
Hammock Slapped, Bipedal Walking, and Two Vocalizations Experienced by Trio of Campers
Three campers spent the night in separate tent and hammock shelters arranged around a campfire at a remote site. During the night the reporting witness was awakened by a slap to his tarp, while the companions reported bipedal footsteps circling their shelters. Shortly after the footsteps left, two loud howls were heard about 15 minutes apart. No creature was seen and no footprints were found in the morning due to leaf cover.

The witness was hunting alone along a dead-end logging road in the late morning. While walking back toward his vehicle he heard repeated loud knocks from the timber that he did not believe were woodpeckers. He called out and searched the timber with binoculars but saw no person or animal. After several exchanges of knocks and silence he left the area feeling uneasy.

From about 200 feet away they heard growl-whoop-scream vocalizations and wood-on-wood thumps, followed later by pea gravel striking the truck. Trail cameras reportedly captured gravel in motion and a large black partial figure showing shoulder, arm and open hand.

The witness and companions were elk hunting and hiking up Spencer Butte on a rainy morning when two of them heard a distant yowl. At the top the witness found an alder shaking without wind and heard something moving away. Shortly after the witness found a large left-foot print with distinct toes in mud and gravel and photographed it.
Property owners hear vocalizations similar to Orangutan, near Easton
In September 2020 the husband was operating a rented excavator in a shed when he heard loud reverberating animal whoops estimated 100-150 yards away, with a second more distant answer. He brought his wife outside to listen. She heard repeated sets of whoop-like primate calls, imitated them and heard brief responses before the sounds stopped.
Howls heard near Spokane River
The witness was at home overnight with bedroom windows open after letting her dog out when she heard a loud siren-like howl, followed a few minutes later by a fainter similar sound from farther away. She judged the sounds unlike coyote, wolf, or domestic dog and described them as a single drawn-out whooooooo that rose and then stopped. She also reported a strong trashy skunk-like odor. No visual contact was described.

In mid-September 2020 around 5 a.m., the witness was sitting on a tarped patio when rustling was heard behind a shed about 50 feet away. Three chimpanzee-like whoops several seconds apart were then heard, followed by more rustling. The witness went back inside and reports being afraid to go outside in the dark since.
