The witness was driving a truck on I-75 at dusk in fog when a tall dark bipedal creature crossed the highway ahead from forest toward an orchard, covering the lanes in a few long strides and clearing the median and a fence. After pulling over, the witness shone a spotlight into the area, saw red-orange eyeshine for several seconds and heard a low grunt before leaving.
Possible nightime encounter while fishing at Mogadore Reservoir
Two companions were night fishing at a reservoir when they heard tree knocks and unfamiliar calls that seemed to get closer. They decided to leave and found one of two large catfish missing from the back of the truck, then the companion was struck in the chest by a small thrown rock. Frightened, they packed up and left quickly.

The witness was walking along a creek bed in heavily wooded terrain when they found a very large footprint with five distinct toes. After photographing it with makeshift scale items, they heard movement and a large branch being twisted on the hillside and left the woods. An investigator later visited the site with the witness and summarized the track as a 17-inch-long left-foot impression.
Family has recurring encounters at home near Forsyth
The witness and her husband were awakened after midnight by strange sounds from their children's bedroom heard through a baby monitor, including squeaking at the window and a thump against the house wall. After the husband turned on exterior lights, the witness saw a large shadow move quickly away from the house toward nearby woods. Shortly after, both heard a very loud double whoop vocalization twice, which the husband said could not have been an owl.

While working in a national forest around noon in August 2011, the witness heard high-pitched yelps or screams from one direction answered by very low guttural whoops from another direction. Around 3:30 a.m. on a warm night in late summer 2011, the witness ran outside with a rifle and flashlight after hearing a chicken squawking. About 100 feet away behind the garage, the witness saw huge orange eyes staring from above a chicken coop and estimated the figure at 6 to 7 feet tall. After briefly looking down to ready the rifle, the figure was gone, and the witness heard something crashing fast through brush to the southwest with heavy breathing. A chicken was found alive but missing rear feathers with a pile of feathers nearby and no digging.

From the woods behind the house he heard a loud, deep howl repeated several times over about five minutes. The witness sat concealed near a watering hole before sunrise to watch and photograph deer and elk. After about 30 minutes an upright figure appeared over 100 yards away behind a fallen tree, showing its upper body for about 45 seconds before slipping behind a large tree out of view. The witness stayed longer, photographed deer, then inspected the spot and estimated size from the fallen tree but found no tracks.

The witness was fishing with two children and a dog at a remote lake when they heard a loud crash and tree-breaking sounds nearby. Over the next few hours they heard repeated rhythmic knocking, noticed a strong foul odor, and saw the dog become frightened and cling to them. They also noted many small snapped trees and worn foliage around the lake. They left in the afternoon feeling watched without ever seeing an animal.
