The witness and a relative were scouting elk near a mountain summit when the witness saw two dark figures about 300 yards away walking away from them. The relative did not see the figures. The two drove to the rocky ledge where the figures had been, but the figures were gone, and they noted a pair of tracks leading to the edge of a drop in old hard snow.
Family finds footprint while hiking near Aspen Grove
The witness was hiking with family members after missing a turn and ending up on an overgrown game trail. In a clearing they found a single large footprint in hard dirt that the witness could not replicate by jumping on it. They found no other prints, did not photograph it, and returned to camp frightened.

Two companions were elk hunting on a hillside before sunrise. They heard extremely loud, piercing screams from across the canyon repeating several times. The sound rose from low to high pitch and seemed to silence other wildlife for the day. They did not recognize the source at the time and did not search for footprints.

The witness was deer hunting alone on a snowy mountaintop where he planned to spend the night. He followed large human-like tracks in deep snow and found they were bare footprints with clear toes. The witness was walking through trees near Dodge Point when he heard loud stomping made by two feet. He then saw two trees being violently shaken and briefly saw a hairy left arm and shoulder between trees. The stomping subsided and he ran back to the house, then drove to town with his wife to tell her parents.

The witness and a companion were on a winter afternoon drive when the companion spotted tracks in a snow-covered field. They found a single set of large bare-foot-like prints with distinct heel and toes leading toward trees, far larger than the companion's foot with a long stride. A relative brought back to the site was also puzzled, and one print was photographed alongside a boot for scale.
