The witness and a companion hiked into a remote swamp-surrounded ridge to survey snake habitat. While the companion stepped away, the witness heard bipedal footsteps and branch snaps from the swamp below and called out with no response. The witness then watched a dark upright figure move between trees for several seconds before it disappeared. Both left the area quickly.

The witness was driving west on Highway 60 after crossing the Brazos River around 2:45 a.m. when a large dark shape on the roadside rose to a standing position and stepped or leapt into the darkness. The witness, who said they had not previously believed in such beings, reported being shaken and convinced by what they saw.

The witness then heard a large splash in the creek followed by paired guttural growls that stopped after the witness whooped, and later described seeing a large hairy figure peeking from behind a tree across the creek.

The witness and a neighbor went into the wooded area of the witness's Florida property after dark to investigate heavy footsteps in leaves and brush. The neighbor ran toward the sounds expecting a person while the witness stayed about 30 yards away. A tall figure then ran past the witness in moonlight at extraordinary speed.

The witness was working in a crawl space beneath a house in daylight when he noticed movement outside. On the last occasion he saw the back of a dark lower leg and foot about 30 feet away moving silently out of view. He described the figure as human-like and estimated its height at eight feet or more.

At dawn the camper heard loud bird-like calls from multiple directions, and found large grass impressions the next morning.

After picking up a relative at the airport, the witness became lost while driving at night with her two children on unmarked rural roads. While traveling slowly near a church, she and the children noticed a large brown furry figure crouched by the roadside ditch with its back to the road. They did not stop and continued home. The witness first assumed it was a bear but later questioned that after learning brown bears are not found in the state.

That evening while cooking the witness heard a loud screech, then after dark was awakened by extremely loud cracks followed by falling rocks, with a second closer event about 40 minutes later. The witness stayed awake afraid until daylight and left quickly in the morning.

Both fled on foot while hearing heavy thuds, and one saw a large rock bouncing nearby. A few days later they returned and found a cleared limb bed and a limb torn from a mesquite tree, but no footprints due to rocky ground.
