After daylight he went to the area where the sounds originated and found bedding, hair, and broken branches along the path. The experience left the witness scared and uneasy.

The contractors reported having rocks thrown at them over two days, with one rock hitting a worker, followed on two later evenings by loud growls from woods only yards behind them.
