Two people backpacking found several large fresh bipedal footprints on a steep forest slope. One track was measured at 16 inches long, with a stride over four feet that was difficult to replicate on the slope. They followed the tracks uphill to a large volcano-shaped nest of pine needles and photographed the track and nest.

Five people fishing in a remote creek area found about half a dozen very large footprints that appeared to be about a week old. The tracks ran from the creek across sandy soil toward rocky brush and were described as about 17 inches long and 10 inches wide.
