Companions in tents heard rustling and grunting. In the morning there was no scattered trash, but a charcoal bag showed marks and some contents missing.

Shining a light, the witness saw the silhouette of a tall bipedal figure near the pond that stood up and ran off, with vocalizations continuing fainter into the distance. A relative living in the house came outside and heard the final vocalization and a distant gunshot, and another relative later arrived to find the area empty.

The witness was driving east on Highway 2 east of Ball Club late at night when she noticed a large brown hairy figure standing off the side of the road. The figure appeared to be waiting to cross toward a nearby lake and did not look at her vehicle. She continued driving without stopping and later returned in daylight but remained in her vehicle.

After revving the truck engine the sounds crashed rapidly downhill, and the pair left, seeing deer run across the road as they drove out.

Late one summer evening in 1998, a couple lying in bed in their trailer heard repeated loud screams and their dogs became highly agitated. The husband went outside with a flashlight and saw red-orange eyeshine well above normal human face height, then a tall upright shadow running toward the southwest. No further screams occurred and the dogs stayed agitated for 10-15 minutes. The couple decided not to call emergency services.

In the morning the coolers had been ransacked, and the pair left the campground early the next night after feeling uneasy.

The next day they returned and found flattened dry grass where it had stood.

A teacher and companions are said to have encountered a tall creature on at least six occasions near an old bridge in Cooke County, Texas.
