The car glanced the creature, then the witness stopped and the creature got up, approached, and chased the car, striking the rear. A group of hunters sitting at their campfire at night heard loud wailing, growling and howling sounds from just beyond the firelight, followed by the sound of trees snapping. They remained in camp as the sounds continued for an extended period before moving away into the woods. At daybreak they found snapped trees, uprooted brush, and heavily disturbed ground in the direction of the sounds.

Searches that night and the next morning revealed no source, tracks, or sign of trauma.

The father took a tape recorder and walked toward the sounds of a loud growling/roaring creature apparently fighting a neighbor's dog while the child waited uphill by a feed trough. The creature was never seen because it was too dark in the woods, and the father returned uphill. The neighbor's dog was never seen again.
