On a Monday afternoon day off, the witness hiked alone to a remote glacial pond and bog. From the pond overlook around 1pm she noticed a figure wading at the far edge and took two photos, after which the figure turned to look at her. Feeling frightened she left, later checked the shoreline from another path and found no one, and on reviewing the images thought the figure looked inhuman.

The companion did not see it, and when they turned around and returned the shape was gone, but they found what they thought were two footprints nearby.

The driver then saw large eyes about six feet off the ground and a large brown shape behind the tree. Both were frightened and did not get a prolonged look.

At home the witness found what he believed to be a black orangutan-faced figure holding a white object in two of the photos, plus a possible smaller shape in a tree.
