The witness and companions were night-fishing when they heard an extremely loud scream from the hillside described as woman-like but different. After a flashlight search revealed nothing, the sound repeated three more times followed by loud pain-like howling. The reporter's group and two nearby anglers all left quickly, saying they had never heard such sounds.
Multiple wood on wood sounds heard in the Beach City Wildlife area
A couple hiking on state game land around a swamp stopped in the woods to listen and heard repeated series of loud, deep knocks from multiple directions and distances. They perceived the sounds as communication and felt uncomfortable enough to leave the area quickly. On the way back to the car they heard additional knocks from across the swamp and continued out without investigating the source.

Four young people went to a collapsed train tunnel late at night and sat on top of the entrance. They reported an overpowering odor, snapping twigs, loud crashing through trees, a low growl, heavy footsteps they could feel, and a loud thud. As they ran back to their car, the reporter glimpsed huge hairy legs and a large hand with long dark nails, then they drove away quickly after the car lurched.
