While heading toward a vehicle in the morning, the witness and the friend heard a single loud guttural scream unlike anything either had heard before. The sound was heard only once and was not heard again.

Three people camping at night heard loud crashing, howling, hooting and screaming sounds circling their camp and then moving up a neighboring hill until gone. The owls they had been calling to fell silent for the rest of the night. The next morning they found large human-like footprints in mud around the camp and broken tree limbs.
