Possible daylight sighting while riding a dirt bike outside Poinciana
The witness was riding dirtbikes with a companion when the pair stopped at a dead end. The witness looked back and saw a large bipedal figure crossing the road as a car approached, then doubling back and jumping a fence. The witness rode quickly to the spot but the figure had vanished across an open field, with the distant tree line too far for anyone to have reached so quickly.
Seasoned hunter hears unknown screams from his stand near Holopaw
The witness was driving with windows down toward a hunting stand in a swampy management area before dawn when he encountered a strong unfamiliar musky odor. After parking and sitting in the stand for about 10-15 minutes, he heard three loud consecutive unfamiliar screams from the direction where he had smelled the odor. The sounds were very loud despite the estimated distance, and the woods stayed quiet afterward with no birds heard at sunrise.

The witness and a neighbor went into the wooded area of the witness's Florida property after dark to investigate heavy footsteps in leaves and brush. The neighbor ran toward the sounds expecting a person while the witness stayed about 30 yards away. A tall figure then ran past the witness in moonlight at extraordinary speed.

The witness was driving to collect her husband after he hit an alligator and disabled his car. As she slowed at sunrise to photograph the carcass, she noticed a dark figure about a block away moving away from the road into the woods. She first thought it was a ranch hand but later interpreted it as a possible Skunk Ape drawn to the roadkill.

Two people riding in a jeep to stock pig feeders and gather firewood noticed a very tall, dark-furred figure with no visible neck standing between two isolated pines about a hundred yards away. Its upper torso rose well above the tall grass and it filled much of the gap between the trees. When the witness glanced down and looked back a moment later the figure was gone, leaving both people badly frightened.

In early November 1989 the witness and a relative returned after dark with a lantern to track a deer shot earlier with a bow. When the blood trail stopped they heard heavy bipedal footsteps pacing, saw a very large dark outline, and heard a guttural warning sound. Feeling threatened, they backed out while the witness held a handgun, and a next-morning search found neither deer nor tracks.
