Believing the source sounded closer and could be a large unknown animal, they ran back to the car without seeing anyone else on the trail.

The witness and a companion were sleeping at home with a bedroom window open when they were awakened around 1:30 a.m. by extremely loud howls coming from outside. They heard four howls that echoed through the area with pauses between them. They later concluded the sounds were similar to a previously reported Bigfoot vocalization and possibly made by such a creature.

The witness was walking dogs along the Sammamish River in Marymoor Park in the afternoon. From riverside cover about 50 yards away, a loud sustained screeching-howl was heard, clearly audible over traffic noise, startling the witness and dogs. The sound repeated farther upriver and was followed by wood-on-wood knocking, with additional knocks heard later near an old windmill. The witness searched from the bank and bridge but saw no people or animals.

After looking from a lit front window without seeing anything, the witness went to a parent's back bedroom where the sound was still clearly audible. On August 24 at dusk the witness was preparing dinner at a forest-edge campsite when a very loud ascending swooping cry came from the hillside above, followed by several higher shrieks. The witness felt watched during dinner and again when returning to the same spot two nights later, though nothing further was heard. An investigator later visited the area and reported a possible large footprint on the hillside.

Loud, human-like whistles were then heard from multiple directions to the east, appearing to go back and forth for about a minute before stopping abruptly with a branch snap. The witness parked to hike a closed-area trail and heard loud, fast drumming sounds from two directions that could be felt as percussion. After smelling a strong unfamiliar musky odor, the witness heard and felt heavy footsteps moving rapidly through brush ahead and then across a second trail as if cutting them off. The witness fled cross-country back to the vehicle without ever seeing the source and heard the drumming again near the vehicle.

The witness reports finding two unknown animal footprints on a sandy area near a river bar, with one print destroyed by stepping and the other identified as a clear right foot. The prints appeared to be a week or more old and were heading from the forest toward the river. The witness photographed the remaining print and hoped to return for a cast and measurements.

The witness was camping overnight at an alpine lake with a dog when a loud high-pitched scream shifting to a low roar was heard for a couple minutes very close to camp. The dog became agitated with raised hackles and the witness was frightened. A young couple camped a few hundred yards away heard the same sound outside their site with snapping branches and pacing, and both parties left the lake the next morning.
