Couple finds tracks in backyard pond
The husband noticed large barefoot-like impressions in mud and shallow water while working near the pond and called his wife to see them. They described three size groupings with five toes and arches, all larger than his shod foot. No photographs were taken and the print area was later underwater.
Possible eye-shine and sighting at a rural home near Stronghurst
The witness was driving home late at night and stopped near cows along a treeline after noticing a pair of yellow eyes several feet above the cows' eye level. When the car door was opened the eyes shifted quickly sideways, and the witness left the area. Shortly after arriving home the witness walked back with a dog and flashlight; the dog growled at something unseen but nothing was seen.
Tracks found before Christmas, near Hendersonville
During a December 2000 snowstorm evening the witness's normally calm dog reacted intensely as if an animal was outside. About two and a half hours later the witness found a single line of very large, deep, widely spaced footprints in snow crossing the yard from one wooded area to another. The witness compared the prints to their own boot and stride and judged they were made around the time of the dog's reaction, but blowing snow had obscured detail.
