The witness was driving in a truck and stopped upon seeing a large hairy figure standing in a shallow creek. After shutting off the truck to watch, the witness heard a loud deep roar from across the creek but saw nothing there. When looking back, the figure had disappeared.

The witness was walking through a field to a friend's house late at night when they noticed a dark figure standing at the edge of pines. After watching briefly, the figure turned toward the witness, screamed for an extended period, and ran on two legs into the woods with visible arm swing while crashing through brush. The witness was turkey hunting in heavy hilly forest at daybreak when branches breaking drew attention. The witness watched a large hairy figure with long arms and a hunched back travel down a draw until it disappeared into the woods. The figure was estimated at 7 to 8 feet tall, very muscular, seen from about 100 yards in low light.

When the car door was opened the eyes shifted quickly sideways, and the witness left the area. During a December 2000 snowstorm evening the witness's normally calm dog reacted intensely as if an animal was outside. About two and a half hours later the witness found a single line of very large, deep, widely spaced footprints in snow crossing the yard from one wooded area to another. The witness compared the prints to their own boot and stride and judged they were made around the time of the dog's reaction, but blowing snow had obscured detail.

Two people driving a van at night saw a very tall, hair-covered biped cross the road in their headlights. The figure crossed quickly, paused to look from behind a tree with red eyeshine, then left toward dense woods. The pair turned around and drove home upset without stopping.
