The witness was driving slowly along a highway by the river at daybreak to go deer hunting. From the road the witness saw a very large hair-covered figure sitting on a log in the bottoms about 25 to 30 yards away, with a cone-shaped head set low between the shoulders and massive legs. The witness drove to an intersection to turn around, but the figure was gone on return, possibly having moved under a nearby high bank.

The group noticed a strange odor, heard persistent movement and muffled grunts, and watched something peeping from behind a tree. Three companions walked to a boat ramp on a river at night to watch the water. They heard movement in brush across the water, then heard two rock impacts nearby on the bank and in the river. They then heard an unfamiliar ape-like yowl and huffing sounds from the same direction. They saw nothing and left the area immediately.

About four years ago in winter, the witness found about eight large footprints in fresh snow near the driveway leading from the road toward a pond fence where they stopped. The witness tried to follow the trail but found no further prints beyond the fence. The night before the discovery, the witness's dog had run toward the end of the driveway acting aggressive, but the witness saw and heard nothing when checking.

Three family members were night-fishing from a riverbank lit by a lantern when large objects began splashing into the water upstream, landing progressively closer over about 12 to 15 minutes. They never saw the objects or the thrower and heard no movement despite listening and sweeping with a search light. They had earlier heard distant high-pitched screams, and after a final close splash threw spray onto the bank they left on ATVs. The account was submitted by a coworker of one witness, not by a witness directly.

When the dog became agitated, she went to check near the parked truck and saw a tall thin dark figure moving through brush about 20 yards away. She was startled, told her companion it was a Sasquatch, and they left.

They slowed and pulled alongside to offer help, observing its flat face, small nose and mouth, and unusually long arms as it kept jogging silently and looked into the vehicle. Frightened, they accelerated away and saw in the rearview mirror that it continued loping along the road, so the driver stayed overnight rather than drive back alone.
