The witness was driving slowly along a highway by the river at daybreak to go deer hunting. From the road the witness saw a very large hair-covered figure sitting on a log in the bottoms about 25 to 30 yards away, with a cone-shaped head set low between the shoulders and massive legs. The witness drove to an intersection to turn around, but the figure was gone on return, possibly having moved under a nearby high bank.

During hunting season this year the witness returned to the area, performed wood knocks and calls, and heard only coyotes and a distant possible response across the river.
