Three people using a powerful spotlight to search for a missing camper at night lit up a tall, broad, hairy figure about 75 yards away. They watched it stare at them for a minute or two, noting its flat hairless face and golden eye reflection, then left quickly out of fear.

The witness and his wife were driving west on I-40 in a motorhome in the morning when they saw a tall dark figure walking north about 100-150 yards from the highway west of Houck, Arizona. They watched it for 15-20 seconds against a rock outcropping and described it as 7-8 feet tall, thickly built, and covered in short dark fur. The figure did not look toward the highway and kept walking as they passed without stopping.

The witness was fishing alone from a boat when a storm approached and decided to head in. Near the lake edge the witness saw a large animal initially thought to be a bear drinking water. The animal then stood on two legs and walked into the woods with a long stride, after which the witness left the lake because of lightning.

The witness was walking a dog on a trail on a mesa when the dog growled and pulled left. The witness saw a tan-colored with red tint, long-haired biped peek from behind a pine tree and then walk away to the west on two legs. The viewing lasted about 10 to 15 seconds and the witness was very upset afterward.

The witness and his son were sitting at their forest campsite in the late afternoon before leaving. A very large, hairy bipedal figure crossed an opening in the trees beside them, swinging its arms and moving slowly but covering distance in few steps. They compared its size to the six-foot son and estimated it would stand at least seven and a half feet tall, then searched and found no other people or vehicles nearby.

The witness was driving north on US 60 in the early afternoon when he noticed a large upright animal beside the road partly obscured by a pine. He slowed for about half a minute to watch as it shifted to keep the tree between them while still peeking out and appearing to look at him. He drove on because traffic was coming from behind.

On Feb. 1, 2007 while driving on Highway 60 past Vernon, the witness saw a bipedal creature running toward the road. It placed a hand on a fence T-post, vaulted over, crossed the two-lane road in a few strides, and continued into a narrow canyon out of sight. The witness pulled over but remained in the vehicle and did not look for tracks.

The witness was driving slowly to work in heavy fog before sunrise when a tall hairy biped crossed the road a few yards ahead from right to left. The animal moved at a slow run and briefly turned its upper torso toward the headlights before disappearing into the fog. The driver stopped, stunned at nearly hitting it, but could give no further detail because of the conditions and brief duration.

The witness was driving late at night when bright side lights illuminated a tall, light-colored figure standing off the road beside a road sign. The figure was briefly seen while driving past and appeared to be waiting to cross. Sleeping family members did not see it, and a later return to the spot showed no trees or brush that could explain it.

In 2006 the witness, working as a forest ranger, was parked by a road near an airport waiting to check woodcutters' permits around sundown. A black-haired, man-like creature crossed the road about 100 yards ahead, moving quickly from the northeast to the west toward gullies. The witness drove toward it for a better view but it had disappeared, and the witness did not leave the vehicle to investigate.

The witness was driving toward Concho, Arizona in the afternoon when he saw a tall, dark-brown, hair-covered biped step onto the highway ahead. The figure stayed fully upright and ran across the road from right to left before disappearing into brush. The witness's wife was in the vehicle but did not look up in time to see it. The witness stated he was certain of what he saw and ruled out a bear based on its erect posture and movement.

The witness was driving with a companion late at night when they noticed a large greyish hairy figure standing by the road watching their vehicle. When the truck got within about 20 to 30 feet, the figure turned and ran rapidly across a field with long strides. Both occupants were frightened and kept driving without turning back to look again.

The witness watched it for only a few seconds and later camped a short distance away.

On Christmas Eve 2000 two people driving toward Winslow on Highway 87 passed a tall hairy figure beside the road near Jacks Canyon. The figure was seen in the headlights from about fifteen feet away and covered its face against the glare. The driver turned around to look again, but the figure had left at high speed into a nearby canyon, leaving long barefoot tracks in snow.

In the headlights they watched a large dark-haired biped take a very long step across the road, cross a canal and continue onto a golf course. The witness rode a horse bareback along a fenced river bottom to meet two others. A tall, dark brown-haired biped stepped from behind a tree into full view and watched with a curious expression. As the witness galloped away along the river, the creature ran on two legs through the trees keeping pace before stopping as the witness turned toward home.

A large black, burly-bodied creature crossed the road in front of their car, moving on all fours or dragging its front limbs. It looked toward them showing a face described as similar to a Sasquatch or orangutan, then disappeared into darkness.

The witness and a companion were driving at night on a lightly traveled road between the Grand Canyon and Flagstaff when they saw a tall hair-covered biped walking on the shoulder. They stopped about 50 yards away and watched it turn to face the headlights, pause and look curious, then take a step toward the car. After the companion screamed it strode into the forest in a few strides, and the pair drove widely around the spot and left the area.

The witness was riding in a vehicle with two relatives after night fishing when a tall upright figure appeared in the high-beam headlights on a dirt road. The figure traversed the roadway quickly and ascended a steep roadside bank with little apparent effort. The witness watched for only a few seconds, while a relative also saw the figure as it went over the bank.
