Two people driving east on US 41 to go fishing reported seeing a creature about 50 yards north of the road. The creature turned, took three steps, and knelt down in the grass with its head still visible. The witnesses estimated it was about eight feet tall, and after turning around for another look they did not see it again.
Sighting by a group of campers in Cheaha Mountain State Park
A group of six campers sitting around a campfire at night heard strange low and high-pitched sounds approaching through the woods. They scanned with a powerful spotlight and saw a hairy upright figure partly hidden behind a tree about 20-30 yards away, with yellow eye glow. It stayed motionless for 30 to 60 seconds and was gone after the light was briefly turned away.

In high-beam headlights the witness saw a large, dark-brown, hairy biped jump from an embankment and cross the rural road in a few steps without looking at the vehicle. The animal disappeared into a field on the other side, and the witness returned home agitated and called to warn the household to lock doors.

Two people were sitting on the tailgate of a parked truck on a vacant road at dusk when the reporting witness went to the cab for a phone and saw a small dark hairy biped about 15 yards away. The entity ran across the road from left to right in a few seconds, paused without looking, then entered the woods while making running noise heard by both people. The pair waited in the truck in fear for several minutes before driving away.

The witness was driving toward Edmonton with a relative passenger in late morning drizzle when a chimp-sized brown animal emerged from roadside brush. It crossed open ground and the divided highway from right to left in front of the vehicle and disappeared into brush on the far side, observed in profile running on all fours. The witness emphasized folded hands rather than bear paws, a small head with no snout, no visible ears or tail, and speed greater than a bear cub, and questioned whether it could have been a young sasquatch.

The witness was with relatives and friends on a back deck in late afternoon when the group watched a grey ape-like figure sitting on a hillside rock about 100 yards away. After a BB gun was fired toward it, the creature turned toward the group, then climbed a steep rock face hand-over-hand and walked bipedally over a ridge out of sight. No vocalizations were heard and facial features could not be distinguished at the distance.

The creature walked slumped over on two legs, moving three times between the cliff edge and the treeline before disappearing. The witness was driving north on Highway 101 at dusk with high beams on when a huge black figure came down a rocky cliff. The figure crossed the road in seconds with a purposeful stride without looking at the witness and entered the woods on the other side. The witness estimated it at about nine feet tall and described feeling shocked and fearful.

The witness was riding as a passenger in a car traveling north on I-77 in the early morning while his wife drove. He noticed a very tall figure walking across a steep snow-covered hillside near the road. The figure moved from right to left with long strides and did not appear to have difficulty on the steep slope. The witness was unsettled and uncertain whether he had seen a heavily dressed man or something else.

Minutes later three household members arriving at the house smelled a bad odor and heard footsteps retreating into the woods east of the house, but the source stayed beyond flashlight range.

While cleaning a construction office trailer around midnight, the wife stepped outside and saw a tall hair-covered figure watching from behind a tree about 25 feet away. She stared for a couple minutes as it leaned to look around the tree, then ran inside. The couple checked the area with headlights, saw nothing, waited in the dark, and heard whistling and rustling before leaving. In daylight the next day they found nothing that explained the figure.

The husband saw a large black bipedal figure running through the bushes parallel to the road about 80 yards away. The group went a short distance farther, smelled the odor again, then turned back after the son refused to continue and the dog yelped and ran back to them.

Looking in the rearview mirror, she saw a very large, thick-limbed silhouette standing in the road behind her under bright moonlight. She stopped to watch as the upright, slightly bent figure crossed the road and disappeared into trees on the other side.

A large hair-covered biped that had been kneeling stood up, walked between their positions while watching them, paused to look back, and then left the clearing. The group also reported a strong unusual odor at the time.

Late at night the witness was riding as a passenger in a car driven by her husband on Diamond Mill Road. She saw a tall, hair-covered bipedal creature cross the road in the headlights, moving downhill from a game trail. Her husband did not see it because he was focused on the road ahead. The encounter lasted only a few seconds at close range.

Upon returning toward the house they saw a tall brown man-like figure standing motionless by the porch and staring. They watched it from ground level and then from the upstairs porch while the child tossed pebbles, but it did not move. They went inside without seeing it leave, and overnight snow covered any possible tracks.

The witness and a friend were maintaining a camp fire at night behind the friend's house near a wooded ravine. When the witness stepped toward the ravine to gather twigs, he saw a tall black form standing in tall weeds below and watched it move side to side before it looked up showing red eye reflection. After the friend also looked and fled to the house, the form ran across the creek toward a field and the witness ran inside.
