After leaving his deer stand at dusk, the witness encountered a tall hair-covered figure standing on the trail about 40 to 50 feet away near a deadfall. The figure sniffed the air, stared at him, then took steps toward him before turning off the trail into the woods. The witness backed away and listened as it walked away without crashing through brush.
Hiker has nighttime sighting at Minnehaha Falls
In May 1998 the witness hiked alone to Minnehaha Falls near Lake Rabun and remained until after dark. After noticing a bad smell and a squatting figure he mistook for another hiker, he approached and saw a very tall, dark-brown, hair-covered biped that stood, walked away with long strides, then stepped toward him before leaving. The witness drew his service pistol and shouted, after which the creature walked away, and he left the area without telling anyone at the time.

They heard a loud thud and found a large log across the path behind them, then heard leaves shuffling upslope and saw a very large hair-covered figure standing close by. They fled back to their other companions, then the witness returned with two companions, found a large barefoot-like footprint in mud, but saw nothing else.
Two incidents with two witnesses on Kinchafoonee Creek
Five teenagers were standing in a dark driveway at a friend's house at night when a tall hair-covered biped came from the creek side and walked under a yard light around the house. The witness described it as at least eight feet tall with very wide shoulders, walking upright with a shoulder stoop. The group watched it peer in windows on the side of the house before it disappeared into darkness, then fled to a truck.

The primary witness was driving alone at about 50 mph on a highway just after dark when a small bipedal creature ran into the road from the right. He struck it squarely with the center of his grill, knocking it to the roadside, then examined the carcass up close. Neighbors and passing motorists also viewed the carcass, which was discussed locally for years.

A military policeman and four squadmates were guarding a burned helicopter crash site overnight in forested mountain terrain. Around 10 p.m. they heard loud howl-like screams from near the wreckage and advanced with a flashlight. They reported seeing three tall hair-covered bipeds scavenging the wreckage and dragging remains, then fired handguns blindly after the light was dropped. They held position until dawn, found no bodies or blood, and left without telling the crash investigators.

The witness was walking home through woods at dusk when a very large, completely hairy human-like figure was seen a few feet away in dense vegetation parallel to the trail. As the witness ran toward home, the figure ran alongside in the brush making deep grunt and roar-like sounds. The figure stopped and stayed crouched in cover at the edge of an open field while the witness continued home and reported what happened to a parent.

The witness and two friends drove down a dirt road late at night toward an old graveyard. Near a new church light they saw a tall bipedal figure that ran toward the new graveyard. They followed it by car until it stood up from behind a large headstone, stared at them briefly, then ran into the woods.

In the early afternoon the witness was about to enter brush ringing a stream inlet when a very tall, hair-covered human-like figure came within about 20 feet at a slow walk. The witness described its size, hair, facial features and muscular build, noting it was defensive but not threatening and made no sound. The witness withdrew to a truck without being followed, and also noted a very large track, sand mounds, possible vomit and scat, and bark damage in the same area.

While driving out of a clear-cut on a forestry road after searching for artifacts, the witness spotted a large dark animal about 200 yards away moving downhill toward a creek. He stopped to watch it walk upright with a stooped posture for about 75 yards, swinging its arms, until it entered the treeline along the creek. He drove across the creek to look for it on the other side, but it never emerged, and he did not leave his vehicle to search.

A family living in a rural wood-frame home reported repeated nighttime visits over several years by two large hair-covered bipeds, one larger and one smaller. The creatures were said to peer in windows, mimic an infant's sounds, produce a strong septic odor, throw heavy tanks, damage a vehicle, and leave hair on the house. Livestock on surrounding farms were found dead with intestines removed. After the father fired through a wall at one creature, only the smaller one was reportedly seen, and activity lessened after relatives guarded the house and a protective ritual was performed.
