A very large upright figure stepped onto the road and approached them, becoming visible in the truck's cargo light and moonlight. Frightened by its size and continued approach, they scrambled into the truck, reversed toward it, and fled at high speed.

Three students walking near a lakeshore at dusk saw a tall, dark-haired biped about 100 feet away by bushes at the shoreline. They stopped and watched as it picked at vegetation, then made a purring sound that turned into a growl. He first thought it was a black bear but, viewing it through a rifle scope from about 200 yards, concluded it was man-like and not a bear or human. The witness, a seasonal parks worker, arrived alone at Amco park early in the morning to clean. While driving out on the park access road, the witness saw a large hairy upright figure standing beside the road. The figure walked upright with a leaning gait and long swinging arms and was watched for about five seconds. At the time the father doubted the identification, but decades later he agreed with the younger witnesses that it had been a Bigfoot.
