The figure stood and ran across the highway in front of the car, moving quickly with a smooth, non-bouncing gait and long arms, then disappeared into darkness. The witness did not stop to look for tracks.

At first mistaking it for a very large man on a road, he realized it was far taller than a human with long strides and brown coloration. The figure appeared to turn toward him, then returned into the treeline. He later crossed to the spot and found no road, only uneven ground and a steep draw beyond.

Early one morning the witness was driving east on Highway 67 after stopping to pick up a newspaper. In the headlights a large black biped ran from the north side of the road across in front of the vehicle and up an incline to the south. The witness described it moving very fast on two legs and glancing back over a hunched shoulder while maintaining eye contact. The witness stated it did not look like a known four-legged animal and was left frightened.

The witness then saw a very tall white human-like form running through that yard with its head turned toward them. The witness and a companion were on an early morning hike from a forest camp when they noticed a tall dark shape on a distant rock outcropping. After an accidental gunshot the shape was no longer on the rocks and was then seen walking away very fast with swinging arms. The two returned to camp and said little at the time.
