Future doctor sees giant tracks high in Rawah wilderness
In summer 1971 the witness and two companions found about a dozen very large human-like footprints crossing remaining snow patches in a high alpine meadow in a Colorado wilderness area. The prints were described as well-detailed, much larger than a large human foot with a stride of four feet or more, and were judged not to be bear tracks, with no prints visible on firm ground between snow patches. The witness noted possible enlargement by summer melt and refreeze and considered a hoax unlikely due to remoteness, and left the area frightened.
Hunters have an encounter returning from hunt
Three elk hunters walking back toward camp heard a loud crash and chased what they assumed was a bull elk to the rim of a deep, steep-sided canyon. From across the canyon the reporter watched through a rifle scope as a tall, black-haired biped ran up the opposite slope on two feet and briefly turned to show its face in profile before entering the trees. The group chose not to pursue closely, later backtracked the trail toward the highway, and examined broken vegetation and footprints the following day.

The creature had a foul smell. The witness returned the next day and found large smudged footprints in the road and cornfield.

A family was camping by a river when the mother went behind the truck at night and saw a whitish upright creature at close range. She ran screaming to the others, and the family hurriedly broke camp while an older brother fired shots as the creature circled and crossed the road. The witness was playing in the front yard of a farm in the afternoon and saw a very tall, long-haired figure walking along the road and appearing to search the ditches. The witness screamed, and the mother and older sister came out and also saw it before driving toward it for a closer look. The figure ran under a bridge and into the woods and was lost from sight. The next day, large footprints were found in the road.

The witness had recently moved into a farmhouse and was on the front porch in the morning with relatives when a large hair-covered creature emerged from a nearby barn. The creature stepped over a hog-pen fence and walked away to the west. Later that day the witness found large five-toed footprints near the barn, and the household heard loud banging and howling sounds around the property through the following winter and spring without seeing the creature again.

Scary encounters outside a rural home near Jackson
The witness and a companion were camping in a tent on the witness's driveway in mid-October. Around 2 a.m. under a full moon, the witness awoke to grunting and snapping trees and saw a large hair-covered figure striking and eating a deer, then dragging it uphill. The figure approached the tent, giving off a strong musky odor and knocking a frying pan from a tree before leaving. In the morning the witness found deer remains, drag marks, and a shelter-like structure of bent and broken pines.
