After noticing a strong rotten-egg and wet-dog odor, the witness saw a large dark hair-covered figure standing by a palm 300-500 yards away and facing the road. The view lasted only a few seconds before roadside trees blocked it. After turning around and returning, the figure was gone but a strange smell lingered.

The witness was riding as a passenger northbound on Highway 20 toward Deception Pass Bridge in the afternoon. While looking out the passenger window into the treeline, she saw a humanlike, apparently unclothed figure sitting on a branch, leaning out and holding on with one arm while watching traffic below. The view lasted about two seconds and was backlit, showing only an outline with a sloping head; the driver did not see it and they did not turn around.

The witness and his wife were sleeping in their truck on a mountain ridgeline when they felt strongly uneasy and decided to drive down. A short distance downhill they saw a large brown furry figure in the trail briefly before it left the trail into the trees, bending a small fir. The witness searched with a flashlight but saw and heard nothing further and felt the animal might be hiding nearby, so they left the area.

The witness and her father were driving south on a sandy forest road when they noticed a dark figure ahead in the distance. As their car approached, the figure crossed the road in front of them and disappeared into thick pine woods. They stopped to look but could not see it further and later realized they had not looked for tracks. They watched a large silhouette leaning against a tree that slowly raised an arm toward its face and later disappeared, while a smaller fur-covered figure was seen walking in the open and then running when approached on foot. The larger figure was also reported to turn its head to watch a passing truck.

The witness was driving north on Highway 101 between Orick and Klamath at night and saw what looked like a bear squatting by the road. As the witness approached, the figure stood up as a tall, hairy human-like silhouette that appeared much taller than the Jeep roof and seemed to hold its hands over its face against the lights. Within about 20 yards it took one leap off the road into the darkness toward the valley, in an encounter estimated at about ten seconds total.

In early fall 2003 just after sunset, the witness was walking back toward the house after collecting firewood when a large dark figure appeared within a few feet and blocked light from nearby buildings. The figure moved quickly into roadside grass and disappeared after about ten seconds. The witness went to the house, later searched the spot but found no sign.
