Around 2 or 3 AM a companion awoke to see a large arm reaching through the van window for food, and food was found missing and spilled, with gouges seen on the slope the next morning.

As the truck passed the spot, a loud scream was heard over the engine noise with the windows closed, and the witness continued driving without stopping.

The father saw a brown, long-haired biped from the shoulders down standing in old cuttings, which grabbed a tree and swung behind it to keep the tree between them. The son reported hearing a high-pitched scream and grunting that the father could not hear. They searched the spot but found no sign, noting an unusual absence of deer and elk sign.

A very large two-legged silhouette with swinging arms and a massive torso then charged through the swamp water toward them.
